Super Curriculum
The Piggott School Super Curriculum is designed to inspire students to explore their subjects beyond the classroom. It provides a wide range of opportunities and suggested activities to extend and challenge students’ thinking, knowledge and skills, while encouraging them to develop a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Each subject has a collection of self-directed activities that complement and build upon the curriculum. These activities encourage students to go above and beyond their classroom learning and can be completed independently in their own time. Subject pages are organised by key stage and include suggestions under the titles of: Read, Watch, Listen, Do.
The activities are designed to help students discover the wider context of their subjects, develop a deeper understanding of what each subject has to offer and explore areas that particularly interest them. They provide opportunities to broaden horizons, pursue curiosity and develop the skills and knowledge of independent learners.
We hope that students will be inspired to explore the ideas and opportunities on offer, selecting activities that spark their interest and challenge them to think in new ways.

We hope the Super Curriculum is easy for both students and parents to access and enjoy, and that it provides opportunities for interesting conversations and shared learning at home.
