World Mental Day
Each year, our school takes part in Hello Yellow in October to mark World Mental Health Day. This is a special day when we join together to raise awareness for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for young people’s mental health.

We believe it is so important to show our children that they are never alone with their mental health, and this day is a great way for our whole community to stand together and show our support.
To celebrate, we invite all children to add something yellow to their school uniform—whether it’s yellow socks, a hairband, or a hat! It’s a bright, fun way to keep the conversation about wellbeing going. During the day, the children take part in various wellbeing activities, such as:
-
Wellbeing Bingo to help think about positive habits.
-
Doodling our feelings to practice expressing emotions creatively.
By making this an annual tradition, we help our children to understand that looking after their minds is just as important as looking after their bodies, and we make sure they know there is always someone here to listen!
