The Piggott School Student Discipline
We expect students to behave in a courteous and positive manner towards staff and other students at all times.They are encouraged to develop a sense of self-discipline within a framework of rules made for the benefit of all.
Where a student fails to behave in a reasonable manner the following sanctions may be applied according to the seriousness of the incident:
- Extra work, verbal reprimand, comments in record book
- Detention at break, lunchtime or after school (with 24 hours notice)
- Official school detention
- Working in withdrawal unit, official exclusion
