  • Virtual Christmas Concert 2020

    Published 18/12/20

One of the highlights of the festive season at school is the Christmas Carol Service. We would normally enjoy a beautiful celebration of live music, readings and reflections at St. Mary’s Church in Wargrave. Sadly, it was not possible this year.
We were, however, determined to offer a virtual celebration. Performing live music with the current restrictions is extremely challenging, requiring extensive planning. I am pleased to say, in true Piggott style, the music department were not to be beaten! We have, therefore, put together a short celebration containing carols, reading and reflections for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Our staff were keen to celebrate the achievements of the students at the end of a busy term, so we hope that you enjoy their messages at the end of the celebration video. Please find the
    link below.

  • Online Safety Evening Webinar

    Published 17/12/20

The Piggott School is committed to Online Safety. We are always working hard to ensure that students have a consistent experience of Online Safety education. We aim to ensure that all students from Year 7 to Year 13 receive embedded opportunities within the curriculum and pastoral tutor time to learn how to stay safe online, particularly during the current situation where young people are spending even more time online. New technologies bring exciting learning opportunities, but careful management and education is needed to ensure that everyone is safe in our digital world.

We will be hosting a LIVE Webinar to update parents in this ever changing world of Online Safety. We are pleased to offer an opportunity for all parents/guardians of The Piggott School students to attend on Wednesday 27th January 2021 from 4.30pm. This webinar will be a closed forum so if you would like to join, we invite you to register your interest by clicking HERE. You will require a Google (Gmail) account to complete this form. Please contact office@piggottschool.org if you experience any problems completing this form or would like to book a place.

  • Certificates for A / AS Level, Vocational and GCSE Qualification

    Published 16/12/20

One of our most treasured moments every year is our Certificate Presentation Evening for A Level, AS Level, Vocational and GCSE students which is held in recognition of the hard work and achievements of all students.  Students and their families are usually invited to witness the presentation of their valuable, hard-earned certificates, which students will need to present as part of any future higher education and employment applications.

Unfortunately, in light of current circumstances, we are unable to hold this presentation evening and will be issuing certificates in the first week of Term 2 in the following ways:

    • AS/A Level and Vocational students will receive their certificates in the post.  These will be sent by recorded delivery.  Please ensure you have updated the school of any change of address. Email us as soon as possible if you need to change your address details: OFFICE@PIGGOTTSCHOOL.ORG
    • GCSE students will receive their certificates in school during tutor time.
    • Those students that are no longer attending The Piggott School will receive their certificates by post. Please let our office know if you have changed your addressOFFICE@PIGGOTTSCHOOL.ORG

We wish all students past and present great success in their future endeavours.

It's Christmas time and we all know that means that cheesy Christmas jumpers are socially acceptable. In fact, the cheesier the better. Students and staff are invited to wear their most outrageously festive Christmas jumper to school next Thursday 10th December to deck the halls of The Piggott School and spread some Christmas cheer.
