The Piggott School - About Us
A Church School
The Piggott School is a school with a Church Foundation. This reflects the School's history and the involvement of The Church of England in the education of young people in their communities; it does not mean our pupils or their families have to have a Christian faith, or any religious faith. But everyone is expected to respect the teachings of the Christian faith.
Gospel values place great emphasis on care and respect, on fairness and forgiveness; there is an emphasis on our responsibilities as fellow human beings, as well as our rights as individuals.
Above all we believe in the potential of each pupil to succeed, drawing upon their innate talents and resources.

A Leading Edge Specialist School
Whilst ensuring that the school's curriculum is broad and balanced, suitable to meet the needs of all our young people, we place particular emphasis on learning at least one Modern Language, upon English, literacy and Geography. These subjects help our pupils acquire some of the important skills needed to succeed at school and in the future, not just academically but also as citizens and active members of the global society.

A Healthy School
We have been awarded the National Healthy Schools' Silver Award for the work we do to ensure our pupils are safe, well cared for and encouraged to be responsible citizens.
